The word NO is one of the most powerful words in the English language, as is YESYes and no can both take us closer or further away from what we really want.

How often do we say yes to things, when we really want to say no?

By saying no to people, situations, foods and thoughts, we are automatically saying yes to something different. How can we have new experiences, if we are always  saying yes to the same old things?

We can’t serve or truly love others, unless we first love ourselves. So we can ask ourselves, what can I say no to, so I can say yes to a more balanced meaningful life?

When we are proactive with the choices we make, we are valuing what we really want and backing it up with action.

If we want to feel more connected to God, Source or our Highest Self, we might say yes to spending time cultivating that relationship, through conversation, prayer and silence; saying no to other distractions. Saying yes to nourishing foods and exercise is saying yes to a healthy vessel for Spirit to inhabit. Choosing different behaviors and thoughts is saying no to an old way of being and yes to the adventure of something new.

Today I pray, we boldly say yes to activities and thoughts that serve our highest good in service to ourselves and others.
