In order to FOCUS on what’s important, we get to do some house cleaning.

We have four aspects of being:

PHYSICAL – How do you feel about your physical presence in the world? Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want or like. As we see ourselves in “our” perfect body, in perfect divine health, we begin to create it. The more love and appreciation for our “perfect” self that we have, the quicker the idea becomes a reality. We naturally begin to move more, to feel happy and make choices that support our “best” self. When we feel love, acceptance and appreciation for our self we are more likely to extend that love, acceptance and appreciation to others.

How about your house, yard, garage or desk? If there is something that you aren’t happy with, focus on what you want and take an action to create what you do want. Taking any step forward can make us feel productive and energized.

As we clean out clutter from our physical space, we create space for new possibilities and creativity to enter.

MENTAL – What do you spend a lot of time thinking about? Do these thoughts take you closer to what you really want or further away? Are these thoughts productive or toxic? Are these thoughts really true, or are they are a part of your past history, the story you tell yourself or beliefs that you bought into without questioning? Are you proactive with your thoughts or reactive?

What we focus on is a choice. When we choose thoughts of love, peace, forgiveness and kindness our whole world changes.

EMOTIONAL – Are your emotions running you or are you managing them? Are you too emotional or not emotional enough? Do you share your real feelings or do you hide behind judgments and criticisms?

Everyone in our life brings us an opportunity for growth, the more challenging, the more opportunity for growth. We are here to learn, heal and love. When others trigger emotional responses, it presents the opportunity to go within and become aware of other times this emotion has shown up. When we pay attention, we begin to notice patterns. As we become aware of our triggers and patterns, we gain new perspective and insights, the first steps to healing.

Each moment is an opportunity for emotional growth.

SPIRITUAL – Did your spiritual ideas and beliefs come from you or did someone hand them down to you? Do you know who started the hand me down process? What do you believe?

If you don’t already, how could you go about creating a spiritual life that you could call your own? Do you have a daily spiritual practice? If you were to create one, what would that look like?

Creating time and space for Spirit to be known, allows us to tap into the greatest wisdom of all.

In the process of focusing on what we really want, we lose the heaviness of things, ideas and emotions that don’t serve our highest good; creating a “light” life of our choosing.

And so it is!

blessings & love,

DJ
