Choosing happiness is not always easy.

“Stuff” happens every day! People say things and our feelings can get hurt. We can get angry or frustrated or both. There is traffic “stuff” and there’s that government “stuff”.

We have friends, family, spouses, children and co-workers who deliver “stuff”. I have come to affectionately call them our “angels”. They are the ones that bring to us, through their actions and words or lack there of, the opportunity to recognize are natural reactive thoughts and feelings and remember that insanity is reacting the same way we always have in the hope that something different occurs.

We have choices as to what we do with the “stuff” that shows up in our lives, we can:

take it personally

hold a grudge

build up resentment

did I say take it personal?

get angry

build up a wall – thinking we are protecting our hearts, but if we can’t feel – we can’t feel.

RUN

hide

close a door

did I say take it personal??

As “stuff” happens, we don’t have to be reactive and take it personal; instead we can be proactive and choose to feel empowered by our growth of not feeling like a victim or martyr. There’s a sense of freedom when we are not at the mercy of situations, circumstances and behavior of others for our peace.

I never said it was easy, but it is a choice.

Today, I pray we remember “stuff” happens to everybody!
It’s our choice, what we do with it!

And so it is!

blessings & love,

small

Until next time, BE radiantradical & real!
