Is it hard for you to ask for help?

It used to be hard for me. Really hard.

I wanted to figure things out on my own. Work through it myself. Not need anyone. There was something in me that believed needing help meant I wasn’t capable enough — that asking was somehow an admission of failure.

I don’t feel that way anymore.

Now I ask quickly. Almost immediately. Because I’ve learned something that changed everything — people genuinely want to help. Just like I love helping others, they love helping me. That’s not weakness on either side. That’s just how we were designed to work together.

So here’s what I want encourage you and myself to do:

Ask. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when you’re not sure how it will land. Even when you’ve been told no before.

Keep asking. Because most people want to help — they’re just waiting for you to give them the chance.

You like to help people, don’t you? So do most people.

Let them.
