IMG_6207Meditation is an act of focused attention, creating a space of flow; of letting out and allowing in. We all meditate, we just don’t call it meditation. When there is a sunset that takes our breath away, the beauty causes a moment of meditation. The birth of a child, a colt or a kitten can cause a moment of meditation of the miracle of life. The waves of the ocean, stars in the sky, glorious wildflowers or a burning fire; can cause moments of meditation at the awe of creation.

A simple practice of meditation is to breathe in and out deeply through the nose focusing our attention on our hand, appreciating it’s unique intricacy. We are the only one with this unique hand print.

We can do the same with a leaf, a snowflake, a grain of sand or a star focusing on the uniqueness of each one. As we breathe deeply concentrating on just that one thing, we will notice that our body starts to relax and we feel more at ease; it’s like giving ourselves a time out.

Practicing meditation helps us manage our thoughts, emotions and stress level. When our thoughts wonder to anything but positivity and love we can gently bring our focus back to a place of love, peace and acceptance.

Today, I pray we spend time in meditation of appreciation for all our blessings

And so it is!

blessings & love,

small

Until next time, BE radiantradical & real!
