What does unconditional love mean?
Wikipedia says “Unconditional love is known as affection without any limitations, a type of love which has no bounds and is unchanging.”
We can’t give what we don’t have; therefore how can we have unconditional love for someone else, if we don’t have it for ourselves. If we don’t feel worthy of unconditional love, we aren’t able to feel unconditional love, even when it’s given.
Loving someone unconditionally doesn’t mean that we love their behavior, it means we love the Spirit within them, the Love within them. We see what is beyond their actions.
By bringing love into all situations we become miracle workers. For instance, if a spouse is abusive, we would love ourselves and them enough to get help. When fear and anger are met with fear and anger, we just get more fear and anger. When fear and anger are met with love; transformation begins.
Today, I pray we unconditionally love ourselves and others with strength and wisdom.
