This is a picture of a young man in Bali – looks peaceful doesn’t he. They seem to do peace better than most of us Americans – maybe it’s because they go to temple every morning, when they get to work, on breaks, and in the evening – every day – Wow – that is a lot of intentional prayer time. I wonder how our days would be if we prayed with intention from the heart several times during the course of our hectic days? I know that when I set my phone to buzz me every hour or so to be prayerful, my days are much more powerfully peaceful.

Where does peace come from? Wouldn’t it be great if when we felt anxious, fearful, or stressful that we could pull up into a drive-thru and ask for an order of Peace? I would love that. The fact of the matter is, no one or nothing can give us Peace. We already have it – Peace resides in us – we just have to go to the quiet place inside of us to find it – to feel it.

Easier said than done for sure. It’s easier to find Peace when there is nice music playing or we are sitting outside or by the ocean, than it is in a crowded restaurant or during a hectic day at work or when we are surrounded by screaming children, or faced with difficult financial issues, loss, or death. If we are lucky we have practiced Peace in the quiet places so that we can find the Peace inside us when we Really need it.

We all have the gift of Peace inside of us; it was born in us, there are times when I have forgotten this part of me and believed in conflict. In these times of conflict my ego runs on fear – the fear of not being good enough, the fear of being alone, the fear of not having enough. But when I reach deep inside of myself for the Divine that is a part of me – there is where I find my Peace. There is where I find the Real me. The me that is perfectly, Divinely created – the me that “knows” that I am so blessed, never alone, and Always very well taken care of.

Today let’s take some time together and call forth that Peace, so that we may create more Peace inside of us and outside of us.

Today let us look to the Divine in each of us, beyond the judgments and ego; breathing in Peace and letting go of anything and everything that is not of Love.

Blessings and love,

Until next time, be radiant, radical, & real!
