I have cared about many people in my life; family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and clients. Today, I consider them all family in a way. Some are still in my daily life, some aren’t. There are some that I really miss, some not so much. As we move through this earth school, our souls find new teachers, new families of sorts. Every person in our life, is here to teach us something; to be a mirror in a sense, so that we can become aware of the qualities that we like in ourselves and the qualities that we don’t like. Remember, if we can see a quality in someone else, that quality resides inside of us ( spot it, you got it).
The cool thing about this work is, once we recognize a trait we perceive as unattractive; accept and acknowledge that aspect of ourselves; we can start to have more understand and acceptance of each other.
When we change, the relationship changes. I remember really getting annoyed at someone being so controlling in my life, I just couldn’t stand their controlling. So, I asked myself, when and or how am I controlling and, hello, I was being controlling in my not wanting him to be controlling, dah. Since then, I have become aware of many other areas in my life that I have been, and still am a control freak. I am a work in progress.
Being aware of the controlling aspect of myself, without judgement, helps me manage my thoughts. It is all in our heads after all. In realizing the behavior, I am able to choose to keep my mouth shut and change the way I perceive a person or situation, surrendering it to Spirit, to my Higher Self. Very Powerful!
So when someone comes into our lives, and we find them difficult, we can ask Spirit, what am I suppose to learn from this person? Remember, the sooner we learn, the sooner the difficulty leaves.
I pray that today we accept ourselves and others, just the way we are.
blessings & love,
Until next time, be Radiant, Radical, & Real!
