What a difference one letter can make.

So many can’ts are based on our self talk. The talk we tell ourselves about who we are and what we can or can not do, is based on the past, or more accurately, our version of the past. If you have siblings that have shared the same past experiences as yourself; you probably know what I am talking about. It’s rare that two people have the same memory of an experience. The reason for this is because we all have our own personal perspective that we view things from. We each have our own version of our past history and our own unique beliefs and ideas that we have accepted as truths, which affect how we experience our current moment.

How accurate do you think your version of the past really is? How is your version of the past affecting this current moment? How does your memory of your past affect your current relationships?

What we think we know happened, or who said or did what, is all about our individual perspective. In letting go of the idea that our version of the past is the correct one; we choose happiness over the need to be right.

What if we had compassion, grace and forgiveness around our past?

One of the most powerful things that we can do, is to let go of our attachment to the past and any pains that are associated with it. Leaving the past behind us, where it belongs, allows the richness of the moment to be truly experienced.

Here are some questions we can ask ourselves:

Am I happy?

Am I living a life of passion?

Do I look forward to getting up in the morning, excited about the days possibilities?

Do I give my imagination permission to play and dream?

Do I know what my heart really wants?

If the answer is no, what can we do to make the answer yes? Sometimes it’s just changing the way we think, remember it is all about our perspective and giving our heart a voice.

As we let go of all perceptions that don’t support our true happiness, we become aware of our divine nature and our ability to creative a life of our choosing.

Today I pray, we step into the moment of can do, realizing our magnificence and the endless possibilities within us.

And so it is!

blessings & love,

small
