Surrender is about letting go of the illusion of control. Today, I realize that as I choose to surrender my life to something bigger than me, I have no idea where I will be next week; much less, next year.

China was not on my bucket list of places to visit, but because my son and his family now live there, I find visits to China on my calendar.  Ten years ago, if someone would have told me that I would be spending Christmas day on an airplane to China, I would have called them crazy. I have learned a lot from my travels to China. Love can and will travel anywhere. I have learned patience, because it takes about 14 hours of air time to get to China. I have learned that cultures may be different, but love and relationships are important to its people, no matter what the language. Yes the customs can look different, but love is universal.

I now have a new perception of China. I have a new appreciation for a sit down toilet as opposed to a Chinese squatter. Yes, I am humbled by all the conveniences that I take for granted.

I feel so grateful and appreciative for the life that I am privileged to live in the United States.

Today I pray, we appreciate all that we have, and from a grateful heart, send a blessing to the world.

And so it is!

blessings & love,

small

Until next time, BE radiantradical & real!
