Wouldn’t it be great to have the Christmas Spirit all year round? We can! The Christmas Spirit is about giving, so today I challenge us to be creative and set a plan on giving.
For many, unless it is on the calendar, it doesn’t happen. So how can we be creative about giving all year? We can start by making a list of possible ways of giving and make a date to regularly give. Giving money is certainly one way of giving. What organizations or causes are near and dear to your heart? How about hands on giving? Here are some ways to touch others with love:
- Tell someone you appreciate them.
- Send a card for no reason.
- Volunteer at a shelter, soup kitchen, non profit resale shop or hospital.
- Be a secret Santa year round: pay for someones groceries, meal or gas.
- Go on a mission trip or help out at a local community center or school.
We embody the essence of love and the more we extend that love the more love we feel in our hearts.There are endless ways of creatively sharing love, have fun!
