A popular quote on Insanity by Albert Einstein is, “Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.”

Why do we tend to do the same thing over and over again, leaving us feeling stuck in a rut or, as one of my clients says, “a canyon”?

This can happen in all aspects of our lives, from the simple to the complex.

Say for example, we say we want to change jobs, yet we don’t actively do anything about it, like improve our skills or do some research. We simply get up everyday and do the same thing over and over again, expecting something new to just show up.

We can get stuck in relationships, wanting to improve communication and intimacy, but continue to criticize and complain, creating continued distance.

Maybe we want a to have a relationship and yet we go home every evening and turn on the tv.

And what about adventure? Do we do anything to allow the space for adventure and surprises?

Change, doing something different, does not typically happen in our comfort zone.

We have to be willing to do something different, step out of the known and into the unknown.

I created a video about me stepping out of my comfort zone and the surprises and joy that I found on the other side of my comfort zone. Check It Out HERE.

Isn’t it time for us to stop beating our head up against a wall, doing the same thing over and over again expecting something different.

Let’s do something different!

blessings & love,
