I was thinking about control and letting go today as I wrote Emotional Health and I came across this video from my Bali trip in March. It seems perfect when I think about how I had to let go of “getting my house on the lake” in order to get it. If the house on the lake or a new car or a relationship ever becomes so important that we think that our happiness depends on it then we have created a false god. The only reason that I get/got to live on the lake – is because I wanted it, but I wasn’t attached to it. I didn’t make it a god.
I believe that we truly have to surrender all – give it all up – as trying to be perfect, trying to look good, trying to be it “all”, trying to be “good enough” – FOR WHO?
We were created perfect – that perfection lies within us. When we give up trying to have a perfect life & let Spirit guide us into a life that our humanness can’t image – that for me is heaven on earth.
Today, I pray that we let go of anything and everything of this physical world, and step into something bigger, more profound, the greatness that lies within – so that we can truly be all that we were created to be.
So we can relax and feel peaceful no matter what is going on around us.
