Being organized is liking things in order.
Being rigid is having to have things a certain way – YOUR WAY!
So how can you tell if you are being rigid? If you feel it in your gut when things aren’t done exactly how you want them to be done.
I used to ask my husband to take out the trash and when it wasn’t done within minutes, I could feel it in my stomach. What had happened was, I had built up resentment by doing too much & then, when I asked him to do this one thing, and he didn’t do it, I could feel an explosion of emotion coming on.
So when we feel something in the pit of our stomach, we can ask ourselves, is this really important? What is this “really” about? It’s most likely not about the trash or being rigid, it’s more likely wanting to be in control and life isn’t going the way that you want it to and you don’t know what to do about it.
So Today, I pray that we stop taking ourselves so seriously & breath deeply into the abundance that is inside of us – that only we are responsible for. That no matter what someone else says or does, that we will manage the peace that resides inside of us. It’s a choice you know – no one can take our power away. We have to give it to them.
