It’s easy for us to love the parts of our personalities that we approve of, but what about those parts that we don’t consider all that attractive? What about the parts that we don’t want to see in ourselves, much less want others to see, like greediness, arrogance, stubbornness, controlling, neediness and sadness, just to name a few.

Until we look at the aspects of ourselves that we don’t want to see and acknowledge that they are a part of our human personality and stop judging them in ourselves and others, we can’t heal them.

These aspects come from a place of fear, a place of not feeling “good enough.” Our reactive nature comes from feeling out of control and wanting to feel in control of our lives. Part of the healing process, is to become aware of our behavior when we are being run by fear. Once we shine a light on the behavior and the fearful thought that initiated it, we can then CHOOSE, to change our thought about the person or situation.  Who’s responsible for how we feel?

Today I pray, we love all aspects of ourselves, shining the light on all of who we are, so that we can energize the aspects of ourselves that serve the highest good of ourselves and others: love, forgiveness, compassion, acceptance, appreciation, and joy.

And so it is!

blessings & love,

small
