Who decides what is art?
Talk to a small child; everything they make and everything they do is a perfect work of art.
There are so many talents out there in the world and they show up in so many different ways. We are all artists of some sort, whether it be painting, sculpting, designing, dancing, gardening or maybe just the art of being who we really are. That is an art for sure and sometimes a challenge.
How artful are you at being your authentic self without concern for what others think?
Are there parts of you that you are hiding from others and maybe yourself?
Is there something that you used to love to do so much, that while in the midst of it, time would just stand still? What was it? Can you remember?
So many times we allow the self-critic within to keep us from trying new ways of being artistic or returning to an old artistic passion.
We are all a perfect work of art, part of the great Creator of all.
The combination of gifts and talents in each of us, is unique. There is only one me and only one you. When we don’t step into ALL that we are, we are withholding part of God from the world.
Today, I pray that we step into the unique piece of work that we are and unabashedly share our perfection with the world.
And so it is!
