The Holiday Season is Upon Us!
I was at a masquerade ball for a fundraising event recently and I had a great time coming up with my attire. I was like a child playing with infinite possibilities.
I wasn’t always like this. I remember a time when I cared more about what other people thought than having fun. I was so well trained to keep my feelings inside, as were my parents, that I truly lost sight of who I really was.
Over 20 years ago, I started on a journey to uncover my true self and it was the hardest thing that I had ever done. It was as painful and exhilarating as birthing a child. I was actually birthing my True Self. I got to look at all the masks I wore to cover up all the pain and fear that I felt.
I grew up watching so many of my family members wear different masks that I am sure that we owned a chain of mask stores ;0
I could go on, let’s just say Spirit knew what he was doing when 20 years ago I became a Life Coach, coaching myself as I coach others in remembering our Radiant, Radical Real self, so that I would never forget how hard I worked to find the Real me.
During this time of wearing masks… masks on, masks off, masks on. I believe that Spirit/God/Love/The Universe what ever you call your Higher Power is calling us to be REAL with ourselves and to be brave enough to unveil the true essence of who we really are, which is LOVE.
